API Improvements for the Community
We’ve rolled out a set of improvements to the Habbo API designed to give community developers more flexibility, better performance, and a more stable foundation to build on 🔧
What’s changed
- First, we’ve introduced a new Marketplace batch endpoint, allowing you to query up to 50 items in a single request! (With a maximum of 25 per item type.) This means fewer calls, faster data retrieval, and more efficient tools and integrations for your projects. We’ve retired the old Marketplace endpoint as part of this.
- We’ve also launched a new badge owners count endpoint, making it easier to build features around badge data. (Please note that Staff, Ambassadors, VIPs, and celebrity accounts are not currently included in these counts.)
- To support long-term stability, we’ve applied stricter rate limits after extremely high request volumes began impacting performance. These safeguards will help ensure fair access and a smoother experience for everyone using the API.
We’re excited to see what the Habbo community builds next!
