🔄 The Upcoming Habbo Collectibles zkEVM Network Switch

On Monday, January 26, we’re planning to begin the migration of Habbo Collectibles from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM. We last discussed this transition in October, and it marks an important step toward future-proofing Habbo Collectibles while unlocking a range of long-term benefits. 🔧
You can find more details about those benefits in our previous announcement.

We’ve gathered some additional information about how this switch will work and how collectors in the Habbo community may be impacted — so let’s walk through it together.

✅ The Most Important Thing: You Don’t Need to Do Anything

Your Collectibles stored in MetaMask wallets and Collector Wallets will be migrated automatically. There’s no action required on your part to move your assets.

• Any Collectibles already placed in your rooms will remain exactly where they are, with no changes.

If you currently have funds within Immutable:

• These funds will also be migrated automatically, though it may take some time for the process to complete.

If you prefer, you can:

• Withdraw funds to Ethereum mainnet ahead of the switch, or
• Bridge tokens directly to zkEVM using the LayerSwap tool

👷 Expected Downtime (And What That Means)

To ensure a safe transition, Collectibles functionality will go offline temporarily. This downtime could last up to one week 🚨

During this period:

• Collectibles features will temporarily stop working on the website and in-game
• Functionality will be gradually restored as systems come back online
• All listed Collectibles will be delisted, and you’ll need to relist them once the switch is complete

Even after everything is technically back online, there may be some early teething issues. We appreciate your patience as we closely monitor the rollout and resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

⚡ Covering Our Players’ Gas Fees

Most actions (aside from minting furni, for now) require a small gas fee paid in IMX tokens.

To make things easier — especially for collectors who don’t frequently use the network — we’re currently covering a limited number of transactions per day for users who do not have any IMX tokens in their wallet. This support will remain in place indefinitely, and we’ll let you know if anything changes 🤝

Additional notes on gas fees and IMX tokens:

• In-game trading does not require gas fees or IMX tokens, but still requires Silver
• Immutable is currently covering gas fees for minting on zkEVM
  • This is temporary and will not be permanent
• Transfers are not funded by Habbo or Immutable

🔃 Connecting Your MetaMask Wallet to zkEVM

After the switch, collectors will need to move between networks using their MetaMask wallet:

• zkEVM → Regular Collectibles (furni, clothing, etc.)
• Ethereum Mainnet → Premium Collectibles (Habbo Avatars, Crafted Avatars, etc.)
